Leader in Salary Conversations: Leadership, Not Formality

Strengthen the ability to create a fair, value-creating salary dialogue.

Effective salary conversations are a crucial part of the employee experience. It is important not only to present information accurately and reasonably but also to ensure that the employee feels heard, valued, motivated, and leaves the conversation with a positive attitude. This depends on both the content and the communication method – how the information is delivered, in what tone, and within what context.

This training will present specific methods and practical advice to help managers prepare for more complex salary conversations, reducing internal uncertainty and boosting self-confidence.

Additional relevance to the topic is provided by the EU's Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970), which requires organizations to adhere to new rules ensuring equal pay for equal work. While the development of compensation systems and legal compliance is the responsibility of the HR function, managers are the primary carriers of salary communication. Therefore, they must have the skills to conduct these conversations confidently, consistently, and fairly.
